Café Centrale owes its name to its perfect location in the heart of the city, with a wonderful view of the historic facade of Hanover’s main train station. Its bright interior and its modern, clean, yet warm design make it a place where people enjoy meeting and feeling at home at any time of day.
Early in the morning, our coffee roast—which bears our name, Kaiserhof Coffee—fills the air with a wonderful aroma. Its full-bodied flavor has made it the café’s signature offering. Monday through Friday, we serve our gourmet breakfast here from 6:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. (Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.). Fresh organic egg dishes such as Eggs Benedict, homemade Bircher muesli and fruity spreads, a variety of salmon, cheeses, and cold cuts, premium ham on the bone, and a heavenly selection of fresh fruit are just a few of the delicacies our buffet offers. The crispy rolls, fresh baked goods, and desserts all come from our own pastry shop and bakery.
Before the café transforms into a lounge in the afternoon, featuring wonderful tarts and delicious cakes (all made in-house) accompanied by live piano music, we serve lunch classics at affordable prices and daily specials at lunchtime. In the summer, you can enjoy the hustle and bustle around Ernst-August-Platz from one of our two terraces, which can seat up to 120 people.
With surrounding benches, stylish high chairs, and wooden tables, the atmosphere remains pleasantly relaxed even in the evening under the illuminated awning. For private events, we offer exclusive use of the café, which seats 140 people. The same goes for our whitewashed, stylishly designed open-air summer lounge, which is perfect for laid-back daytime parties for up to 40 people.
Let us surprise you: the Kaiserhof Gourmet Breakfast Buffet or Imperial À la Carte. Start your day with the delights of international breakfast cuisine at Café Centrale. Pancakes, Eggs Benedict, or your favorite omelet are included in the price of our gourmet buffet. In addition to a wide selection of sweet and savory options, you can enjoy fresh fruit, meat and sausage specialties, fish delicacies, salads, lavish cheese platters, organic products, and much more. Our pastry shop also provides baked goods and cakes. The beverage selection includes water, juices, our house-brand Kaiserhof coffee, and teas from Ronnefeld. À la carte, we offer classics such as Salmon Benedict with smoked salmon, French toast with berries, acai and granola bowls, or salmon with poached eggs. The Kaiserhof Breakfast Etagère for two, including two glasses of Prosecco, is another highlight on the menu.

KAISERHOF COFFEE
In collaboration with the Braunschweig-based coffee manufacturer Heimbs, we developed the filter coffee blend
“Kaiserhof Coffee”: a full-bodied, robust coffee with a subtle hint of almond and
intense roasted aromas. It is made primarily from hand-selected coffee beans from South and
Central America and was gently roasted exclusively for our establishment.
